Giver of Life
Nothing that exists would do so were it not for the Lord God Almighty deciding to create it. Nothing that has lived, lives, or will live has done, does, or will do so without His grace. Whether the plants, the souls of animals or men, or the living spirits of men, angels or devils, nothing that lives has life of itself. Psalm 104:3-5: "Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind: "Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
"Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever." When God created the heavens, He created His messengers as spirit beings. When He laid the foundations of the earth, He did so for His own purpose, a purpose that will stretch forever. The first single celled creatures did not accidentally develop the dozens of simultaneous chemical reactions necessary for life with a lightning strike. The first man and woman were not the children of apes. We are not the flow of science or of karma. Gen. 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Without the earth, there could be no life on it. God created this earth, and He did it for His purpose. Eph. 1:10-11: "That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: "In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:" God worked all things, every detail, with a purpose in mind, foreordaining (predestinating) us according to that purpose, calling us accordingly. Isa. 45:11-12: "Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me. "I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded." See? We are not monkeys, not large-brained apes descended from apes. We are created by God for His purpose. Zech. 12:1: "The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him." See? Either this Scripture lies, or it is the truth of God's Word, and tells us the truth. God created the earth, and the life of Man. He stretched forth the heavens. He created all life. Gen. 1:11-12: "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. "And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Gen. 1:20-21: "And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. "And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good." Gen. 1:24: "And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so." Plants, sea creatures, bugs, birds, animals, all were made by God at His mere word. God said, and it was. Gen. 1:26-27: "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." God created Man in His own image. What image is that? John 4:24 states: "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." God is spirit, and besides making Man a creation of flesh and breath, in other words body and soul, He also created Man as a spirit being. A being of body, soul, and spirit. The spirit is life. Rom. 8:9-11: "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." See? The spirit if life, and it also makes alive (quickens) the flesh of the mortal body. When Adam died, the spirit God had created him died. His body and soul (breath-life) lasted another 900 years, but he died spiritually. Now in Christ, we have life from the Father of life. When we accept the truth that the resurrected Jesus is Lord of God's creation, believing he was raised by the power of God, we take our place in eternity. When we act like these things are true, we take our place in God's plan for us. We have life from the Father of life. Heb. 2:13-15: "And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
"And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." See? It is the devil, Satan, that has the power of death. God does not kill. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. In Scripture, there are times when the Scripture read that "God slew him," or "God sent a beast and slew them," this type of saying. When we see this, we know God does not have the power of death, Satan does. God, Jehovah, is the Father of life. When the Scriptures say God slew someone, or caused their death, it is the figure of speech "idiom of permission." In the Hebrew and Greek languages the Scriptures were written in, idiom of permission was well understood by those who were responsible as scribes and scholars. It was a legitimate use of language, used for emphasis of the serious consequence and used not to confuse people who did not have the unconditional gift of spiritual life. The devil kills, not God. God is the Father of life. 1 Cor. 5:4-5: "In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, "To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." See? God does not destroy the flesh, the soul life of this Christian who is committing grievous sins. But such a one is delivered unto Satan. God's hedge of protection, the quickening of the spirit, is taken away. Thus the evil works of a sinning Christian will not be of account at the gathering together, as it is written, "If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire." You see, God is the source of all life. He is Creator. He may allow people to reap the consequence of their actions, but He is not the death-giver. He is the life Giver. He is also the Father of Jesus Christ, and he is the Father of Christians. He does not literally take life, even when delivering the sinner for destruction. He is the life-giver, He is love. He gave His only begotten son so that whosever believes can live. 1 John 3:1: "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." Now, we who embrace the reality of life in Jesus our resurrected lord are sons. We are not merely God's creation, we are God's purpose, His deliberate plan to have sons, to have family. 1 John 3:2-3: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. "And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure." Beloved, when are we the sons of God? Now. It behooves us to know the truth of God, that He is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. None at all. He does not kill, and to save those who will allow it, He even gave the one man He did not have to, Jesus. In Jesus we have eternal life. Not through science and cloning, not through reincarnation, not even through our children, but through the life we have in Jesus, which he brings us through the working and purpose of his Father and ours, God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Amen? AMEN!
